Self-described "Comic Book Rockers" The Haunted Houses spawned when the visual artist Will Cordell became roommates with eccentric guitarist Wyatt Turner. The two have set out to make music that they think is kinda cool and way too loud. However, their first EP "Basement Friends" was recorded with the world's smallest amps in the world's smallest dorm room and was released tentatively on Halloween night 2017. Both of their mothers were very proud. To allow for further sonic exploration, the boys wrangled up a group of hooligans to get some of that jazzy goodness into the mix, putting Laney Roberts on keys, Wyatt McCalister on bass, and Stephen "The Absolute Unit" Sholty on drums. That gave the band motivation to play more shows and record more of their material, and now The Haunted Houses are currently recording for their first full length LP.
